FIRST LADY'S BIO Lekina Dykes Strickland
My name is Lekina Dykes Strickland. I am the daughter of Luther & Peggy Dykes and I have one brother Luther Dykes Jr.
At the tender age of eight years old I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior and have been walking with the Lord every since.
I grew up in the beautiful city of Atlanta, Georgia and matriculated through the Atlanta Public School system where I graduated from D.M. Therrell High School. I attended Fort Valley State University where I received my bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a minor in Child Development. I possess an insatiable passion for teaching and serving young children. It is with a grateful heart that I am empowered to teach and mold the minds of young scholars every day.
I am married to the most wonderful man in the world, William Strickland and from this union, we have been blessed with two beautiful and loving children Zion and Adoria.I am grateful to serve as a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Ministry and Sunday School.
My most important ministry is being a disciple for Jesus Christ and winning souls for the Lord! If I can help someone along my life journey, then my living will not be in vain.
Yours in Christ, Lekina Strickland
